Entertainment in Nauvoo!!
Summer in Nauvoo brings lots of fun free entertainment! We really could be seeing something almost every night. Here are just a few of the things we have seen in the last week.
BYU Young Ambassadors were here for almost 2 weeks. We saw them 4 times, but I wish we could have seem them more. They were fantastic!!
Their "I've Got Rhythm" number!
The Young Single Sister Missionaries at their devotional last Sunday. They presented an hour of music and spoken word all about the Book of Mormon and it was so inspiring.
They are as talented as the performing missionaries and have such a wonderful spirit about them. We are so grateful to have them back here in Nauvoo.
Then there is always Sunset by the Mississippi! We never get tired of seeing that. There are 3 different casts and we still have not seen one of them.
MY NEW CAR!!
Here I am with my new car!!! Don't you just LOVE IT!!
Yep! You're right...it belongs to President Rutowski. We had them and the Lords to dinner one night and he showed up in this snazzy sports car.
I had never seen it before. He doesn't bring it to the Temple!! :) Anyway...I thought it looked good with me!! Maybe someday....I'll have a car like this.... just kidding!!

Brian & Sarah and girls visit
Brian and Sarah and girls came to visit us for a few days on their way to Brian's residency in Michigan. They drove straight through from S.L. It took them 23 hours !! It was so fun to have them here, and Madison and Abby are so darling....I'm really going to miss them a lot!
At the brick yard. We learned how the early members made their own bricks to build their homes with.At the original home of Nathaniel Ashby, my great-great-grandfather. Brian's 3 greats...and Madison & Abby's 4 greats. This was a duplex with Erastus Snow who converted my grandfather. Site missionaries live in the home now.
Sarah took the above pictures of her girls...she really knows how to get them to smile!
At the pioneer cemetery. Madison found this frog right at the base of the statue. He was scared!
At the park in Montrose
Looking across the river at the Temple from Montrose. This is what it would have looked like as they left Nauvoo and their beautiful Temple
Madison liked the park...
So did Abby...
and so did their Daddy !!!

At the Family Living Center
Madison made a rope all by herself!
Brother Guyman helped Brian cut the finished rope.
Abby loved to ride the sheep...
and play with the blocks! This is such a fun place for kids and adults alike.
