The Temple Arrival Center

We are now serving in the new Temple Arrival Center a couple of times a month. It is a beautiful building, but is not being used very much during this season when there are not very many patrons at the Temple. It is for people who need a place to change clothes before going to the Temple (there are even showers and lockers) It is also a place for wedding parties or families who cannot attend the Temple to wait for bride and groom to come out of the Temple....like the Marriage waiting room at the Salt Lake Temple. Here are a few pictures of the building inside and out.

The foyer...where we sit and wait for visitors...last time we were there, we had only one!!

One of the rooms...

The end of that same room...this is supposed to be the children's room (see the little black leather chairs)  We have yet to see any children use this room, but I don't think it is going to work...it is definitely NOT childproof :)  I can just see them jumping on the couch and knocking over the lamps etc.

This is looking the other direction in that room...so of course the children can also "PLAY" in here since their room is all open ....hummmm....wonder how that will work?

The view out the window of that room.

The waiting room on the other side of the foyer.Posted by Picasa

The view of the Temple from the front of the building.  These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago when it was still in the 60's...now that it is in the single digits, things look a little different! ... for one thing I am NOT standing in the street taking pictures:)

It looks like a really nice building, except Cannon would destroy that children's room in a second!
